GuardLight is built by people who've sat on both sides of the AI governance table - running the technology and selling into the same regulated markets we now advise.
Paul Kinney is Co-Founder and CTO of GuardLight, where he architects the platform's risk-scoring and portfolio-visibility frameworks and leads enterprise AI advisory for clients in financial services, public sector, and other regulated markets. He brings over 25 years of enterprise technology leadership from IBM and HCL Software, including his prior role as Chief Technical Executive for HCL Software's U.S. Federal business, and where he provided oversight of the organization's FAR and CFIUS compliance. Paul holds an M.A. in Government Administration from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Mathematics/Computer Science from UC Berkeley.
Emily Baugher is Co-Founder and Head of Growth at GuardLight, bringing a background in cybersecurity, enterprise sales leadership, and go-to-market strategy for regulated industries. She spent six years at HCL Software leading U.S. Federal public-sector sales across zero trust, DevSecOps, and digital transformation initiatives, and currently advises organizations including LLMWare and SAVIC on growth strategy. Emily holds a CISM certification, a recent MIT xPRO certification in Deploying AI for Strategic Impact, and a degree from Brown University; she also serves on Tulane University's Dean's Advisory Board for its Cybersecurity Management program.
